Education
- Ph. D. in Mechanical Engineering, MIT, 2012–present
- M. S. in Theoretical and Applied Mechanics, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, 2010
- B. S. in Mechanical Engineering, University of Tehran, 2008
Research Interests
My research interests span a wide range of phenomena in soft matter physics, from thin film flows and multiphase flows in porous media, to collective dynamics and pattern formation. Inspired by experiments in the lab, I develop models using methods of statistical physics and non-equilibrium thermodynamics to improve our understanding of the underlying physics of different phenomena.
